No 127-E

Foreign Minister Urmas Paet expressed condolences to Secretary of State of the United States of America John Kerry over the terrorist attack at the Boston Marathon that injured many people.

“I express my profound condolences to those injured and killed in this tragic act of violence, as well as to the friends and loved ones of all the victims,” said Foreign Minister Paet.

The foreign minister added that Estonia condemns all acts of terrorism. “There is no justification for organising explosions that kill and injure people. The criminals must be brought to justice,” he added.

On 15 April two explosions occurred near the finish line of the Boston Marathon; initial reports state that three were killed and 144 injured.
