Foreign Minister Urmas Paet to Discuss EU Mission in Central African Republic, Middle East Situation, and Russia Relations with EU Colleagues


Today, 20 January, Foreign Minister Urmas Paet will participate in a meeting of the foreign minister of European Union member states in Brussels.

The latest developments in Syria, Egypt, and the Middle East peace process will be discussed at the meeting. Regarding Syria, the focus will be on the Geneva conference taking place on 22 January, the implementation of the destruction of chemical weapons, and the humanitarian situation in the country.

The European Union’s relations with Russia and Afghanistan will also be discussed in depth. Additionally, the EU mission in the Central African Republic and the situation in South Sudan will also be talked about.
