Foreign Minister Keit Pentus-Rosimannus will participate in a security conference in Lithuania and open an Honorary Consulate

Foreign Minister Keit Pentus-Rosimannus will be in Lithuania on January 15th and 16th attending a conference on security and will meet with Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkēvičs and Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevičius. The Foreign Minister will also open the Estonian Honorary Consulate in Kaunas.

On January 15, Foreign Minister Pentus-Rosimannus will take part in the security conference "Snow Meeting", including participation in a panel discussion focusing on Russia's actions as a result of the changed security situation in Europe.

On the morning of January 16, Foreign Minister Pentus-Rosimannus meets with Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkēvičs and Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevičius. Topics of the meeting will include the situation in Ukraine, relations between the European Union and Russia and other current foreign policy issues. Following the meeting, the Foreign Ministers of Estonia and Latvia will sign a cooperation agreement between the two countries regarding the prevention of marine pollution.

Then the minister will participate in  a discussion taking place in Vilnius, which will be attended by participants of the "Snow Meeting" and the Vilnius Intellectuals Forum. The discussion will focus on relations between Russia and the West.

On Friday afternoon, the Foreign Minister will open the Estonian Honorary Consulate in Kaunas. The Estonian Honorary Consul in Kaunas is Žaneta Simanavičienė.
