Foreign Minister Pentus-Rosimannus to discuss Europe's security situation and challenges in the EU's neighbourhood with EU Foreign and Defence Ministers


Foreign Minister Keit Pentus-Rosimannus will take part in the European Union Foreign Affairs Council meeting in Brussels tomorrow. The Foreign Affairs Council will this time be held in the Foreign and Defence Ministers' format.

At the joint session of Foreign and Defence Ministers, the renewal of Europe's Security Strategy and preparations of defence and security policy topics for the European Council in June will be discussed. An overview will also be made of the implementation of decisions at the extraordinary European Council of April 23. At the joint meeting with the Secretary General of NATO, EU Foreign and Defence Ministers will discuss security challenges in the European Union’s neighbourhood.

Developments regarding the Middle East peace process will also be discussed at the meeting of foreign ministers.

The European Union's Foreign Ministers will also meet with the Foreign Minister of Serbia Ivica Dačić and the Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin.
