Estonian Foreign Minister Paet and Finnish Foreign Minister Stubb to Open Grand Exhibit of Estonian Art in Helsinki

Today, on the evening of 15 October, Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Paet and his Finnish colleague Alexander Stubb will open the exhibit “The Colours of Estonia – 150 Years of Estonian Art from the Enn Kunila Collection” at the Taidehalli in Helsinki.

Paet stated that the exhibit opening today is one of the most extensive exhibits of Estonian art to be displayed in Finland in a long time. “Enn Kunila’s art collection, which is being displayed in the exhibit, has been named by art experts to be one of the most complete collections of Estonian painting classics. I am very pleased that we are able to introduce the best of Estonian painting art to our neighbours as well,” he added.

Paet said that Estonian and Finnish societies are very closely tied through cultural activities.

Kunila’s art collection was also displayed in the Tallinn Art Hall as part of the exhibit “From Köler to Subbi. 150 Years of Estonian Classical Paintings from the Collection of Enn Kunila”.
